Hand Forged

i am shaped

by the hammer

that scatters scale,

false silver,

coke, and ash,

 remnants

of the burned

and sacrificed.

.

nimble hands

turn me,

forcing carbon

on an inward dance.

bent, plied,

and smoothed,

i ride

a phosphorescent tide –

transformed

by love.
