Lengthening Shadows

Rising to fly west at dawn,

winging their way east at sunset,

wise crows don their shadows,

never chase them.

Silk taffeta overcoats,

elegant as obsidian in moonlight,

i envy their finery.

  1. Thinking, thinking… 🙂 Interesting, knowing which words you stress, particularly ‘I’ at the end as I read it first, accenting ‘envy’ in my mind. :D.
