Man on Sand

you wear

the dignity of depth,

your gaze,

a warm heat,

the mirage

of tumultuous life,

as you heft its weight,

Atlas of the moment.

while i

trace wistful circles,

ten digits

in the dust,

you brush

from my cheek.

and i resolve

to meet

your heart

in the oasis of Soul.

between worlds,

and lives,

and breaths,

we will curl the linear,

draw poles

to center,

and love

and potentialities

into existence,

in the midst

of the mundane.
