Laguz

the voluminous sweep of skin

interlaced with intricate fault lines,

uncoupled wedges,

we meander downstream.

.

the halting exhalation

of the upwelling rush

rises into the incoming tide,

nudging us past the breakwater.

.

frothed spun cotton foam

pulses into the open race,

as the flushed rose tatted lace sky

caresses the undulating curves of horizon.

.

we merge,

grinding and groaning

at the fertile mouth

where river meets sea.
