red light exposure,

as i anticipate

the descending weight,

an exquisite strain,

and rush of breath.

the aching press

that conforms to the curves

beneath the surface film.

on the silk screen

of monochrome skin

we paint perceptions,

contrast and hue,

waves of rising

entwining outlines,

we tenderly brush

the charcoal lines

of merged sensation

to find the strength

to raise the bar.

In maintaining the health of the body, we are caring for a microcosm of the universe, a form of self-love that includes the other.
