The Way

i carry “home”,

and strapped,

with its silk-lined,

pressed and folded

i do not understand

the need for separation,

of shoes, shirts,

unmentionables –

for they dress

the one body.

as i walk blindfolded

through desires

that raise

dusty dervishes,

ties are spiked

before each courageous

sensing only breath,

i follow my own lead,

over the abyss,

about the convergence –

of a billion other tracks.

i arrive

where you already stand.
