why would you

believe in scarcity,

when light rains abundantly?

nourish your inner sea,

and night will gift the ability

to soothe the energy

of contradiction,

until your bold, bright bosom

worn smooth,

becomes home for infinity.

Happy New Year!

  1. Not being a poetic type, I wonder if your works are prepared far ahead of posting. Or, do you compose the day of a post? How long does it take? The mechanics of writing is interesting to me.
I hope your new day and new year dawned nicely. A nearly full moon shone in our west windows. It is -20˚ outside now at 6:30 am. Such cold ‘Isolates’ one from the world.

    1. I write every morning after a brief mediation (and strong coffee😉). Everything is composed on the spot. It can take from 5-20 minutes. There is no delay in posting. I don’t know the topic when I start. The photos are chosen before or after the poem depending on topic. Thank you for asking, Jim. Was that a photo of you out in the snow on your last post?
