life looks on with curious gaze,

as i soak the sunlit days

with a drenched cheek

pressed to the muslin sheet

of a bleak garment.

the poverty of nude

feet shuffling against

a man-made conglomerate.

grief for the other half

of my ring,

split for the voyage

of depart and climb,

a soul-longing

delicate trace

of the velvet rim of time.

in the mindful keep

i seek and find

body and soul

yours and mine.

  1. This is really beautiful, thanks for sharing. I have a poetry blog here on WordPress and my poem today is about the healing power of tears in case you have time to look? Have a sunny day, Sam 🙂
