Making It Home

heart wide

to the joy of life,

and multitudes

cross its threshold.

seeking ambient light.

.

they trudge inside

the woe and world worries

not meant to be mine,

awakening stories

in mind.

.

i breath and love,

the labor of the scrub,

clearing the spilled chaos

from this living rug.

.

so when you go

and as you come,

man and

boy riding shotgun

in the trees,

my heart is home

for you –

the one

and the many.

.
