Magnanimity

From the time that the first human dipped hands into red pigment and pressed symbolic consciousness onto the cave wall with a groan into its darkness, it has been the work of the woman to hold stories of the world’s grief and joy in her cupped palms. To weave her words in a universe where past, present, and future exist as one, is to hold an eternity at her fingertips. Woman completes the circle of reception from man, birthing the renewal of life, receiving the earth’s nourishment, gifting her body’s food to an infant soul. She is whole and complete in her essence. It is a eucharistic presence, body, blood, and word as gift of feminine embodied wisdom…daughter, sister, mother, wife. She is gratitude. Her desire is gift.
