Latitude

once adrift,

i now make way

on the wind-frothed fray,

as wavelets lap

with a kosmic laugh.

.

the skiff turns and skips

as salps dip and dance

and i refuse

to be entranced

by the miriad of desires

that dangle and bind

a world in sight

and in mind.

.

they promise to spill

and sink

yet i am on the brink

of a foothold

single-minded

and bold.

destruction

is the other cheek

of creation.

.

awake

.

when i asked,

you gave

and i navigate

beneath the waves.

.
