Heavy

i gather a world

despair and demands

and the tremors

of clutching hands

bleeding promises and lies

the keratinized clippings

of the rejected and despised

that i carry in the cradle

of an energetic womb

the tomb

where the passing rise

and i cling

to this immeasurable thing

the color of demons,

dysfunctioning –

and spring

.

at crush depth

i quiver my petals

feet tugged

from the rigging

the tear of metal

the grinding

where i find my flourishing

in the heart of one

who sees me

.

It is between “you” and God, and that’s all.
