Dipole Moments

i play

with contrast of day

wings stark splay

a soft brush

flick stagnant dust

from a bare belly

stratosphere

.

and they hear

.

what i say

.

without words

quantum birds

roost and disappear

taking on the wing

what i give away

there are those who know

how i aim my toes

for the pirouette

.

for where i go

not all can stay

i dream that way

birth and see

but do not say

and they release

a thousand chains

and caw my name

i am saved

in the last refrain

.
