Night Light

i hunger

for truth unencumbered

by the pollution of light

smudging the tails

of slovenly meteorites

stones skipping

on the horizon line

between breath and space

the amber place

where our souls entwine

.

i barely recognize

the petals

as love unfurls

settled

between night jewels

and promises

ruled

under tender guise

close my eyes

.
