The Vagaries of Dusk

sew me to your silence

sink the night below the line

drape my slumber

across the amber

warming of your sigh

be the shawl

that wraps my shoulder

with surety to disarm

brace my fears

and still the worry

in the safety of your arms

stoke the flame

that roars beneath

the mantle of my breast

speak my name

as twilight dreams

come to softly find their rest

still my curling seeking fingers

as i sleep upon your chest
