I thought I might outrun light as dawn chased my heels across these blue skies, the hue an illusion that blocked my eyes from the arrow of deeper time. The digital clicked off pixels from eastern to central but the explosive bang of non-reversal had since etched a track in the black of the star speckled infinite. So I fooled myself with the kiss of earthen time, while the mime of the transcendent crossed my line. In that aftermath there was the momentary collapse of the quantum view, and I breathed only you. Closer than skin, the world ceased spin, and I hovered home true.
