Horse Play

I usually drive by Potomac Stables on the way to work and watch the horses grazing in the mist. Sometimes I stop and listen to the wind and the crickets.

This morning the fog had finally lifted. The horses were playing. Twenty of them, galloping and prancing. I had never seen anything quite like it. It’s almost as if the fences had disappeared and they had their wildness returned to them.

So I stayed and the horses played. They played. Love doesn’t fade.
