Rhyme or Reason

leaf cutters duck and cover

from serrated edges of regret

vegetation seeps stagnation

from roots that find forget

porous rains drain the blue

to swoon a womb of beget

a wetting true to flared fruit

and other deadlines met

the sultry dragon tropical

loses fire of his breath

as kept in loveless arms

they lie

when ghosts of silicon

spurn their debt
